I'm Releasing A Book!

My collection of photos and essays is now available for pre-order

Hello Everyone,

Some pretty big news. I made a book! And now I’m putting it out into the world which honestly feels very scary because it is a very personal project. But I also feel like it is the best personal project I’ve ever done. So I gotta get it out. It’s called I Love It Here
I Hate It Here and it is a collection of 100+ film photographs and 15 personal essays.

About the Book
Every New Yorker has their own love/hate relationship with the city. This book uses film photos shot from 2021-2024 and original essays detailing various encounters with locals to illustrate the idea of what it is like to live in a place that is as inspiring as it is deflating, as beautiful as it is horrid, as kind as it is uncaring. It is my hope this mix of media can illustrate the pain and pleasure of this place in brief moments, thoughts and interactions. But most importantly it is my hope that it makes a nice coffee table book that makes your guests say, “oooh where’d you get this?”

I’m self-publishing this thing. Meaning I don’t have the buying power of a larger publisher to help get me cheaper bulk prices. However, I’m still trying to keep the pricing reasonable for what I feel is a pretty nice coffee table book that I put a lot of time and work into. I hope the cost is doable for y’all.

Since I’m self publishing I’m doing a preorder open until May 11th to to dial in how many books I should order. Don’t want to wind up with a ton of extras gathering dust in my apartment (or order too few). Every preorder will be signed and numbered!
